After getting beaten by 36 points and 30 points at the hands of Lower Moreland last year, Delco Christian was hoping for a measure of revenge on Tuesday night on its home court.

Instead, what they got was another blowout. Another game where the fourth quarter was basically meaningless, where one team left feeling really good about itself for an evening while the other wondered what just happened for 32 minutes.

A familiar atmosphere.

Except this time, it was the Knights who were the ones running away to an ever-increasing lead, walking away celebrating after a 75-48 win over the defending Bicentennial Athletic League champions.

Jamar Sudan and Marquis Collins each tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds to help Chester hand Harrisburg its first loss of the season, 60-58, Saturday.

Glen Mills 55, Council Rock North 49 >> Myron Sanders scored 18 points, and Ewhnik Proctor provided seven of his 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Bulls held on.

Palumbo 51, Haverford 50 >> Pat Corbett scored 16 points, and Jamie Gillen added 14, but the Fords were doubled up in the fourth quarter, 10-5.

Chester’s Marquis Collins has known for about a week that he wanted to join the Delaware State Hornets next season.

It was just a matter of waiting for the right time to announce his decision.

After hitting the game-winning jumper in a win over Penn Wood on Thursday night – a game in which he finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists – the stars seemed to be aligned for the 6-foot-7 wing forward.

“I decided after New Year’s day,” Collins said. “My parents told to wait a little bit to announce. We were real excited about everything but decided to wait a little bit. I had a great game yesterday and just felt like perfect timing yesterday to do it.”

With Collins’ announcement, it marks a third Chester Clipper who has made arrangements to call the Dover campus his home.

In a community where athletic potential is rarely kept a secret, Jawan Collins’ historical possibilities were spoken in hushed tones until last year.

It wasn’t until after the 2014-15 season — when Collins cracked the 1,000-point plateau as a junior, leading Academy Park to the District One Class AAAA tournament — that assistant coach Ron Bright pointed to the record books. If all goes well, Bright told the guard, that record for most points in school history should be yours.

Saturday, as clinically and methodically as the first 1,200 went through the hoop, so did the historic No. 1,295, eclipsing Byu-Deen Twyman’s school record in a 72-54 win over West Chester Rustin.

Collins canned a jumper from a step inside the 3-point arc with 51 seconds left in the first half, his ninth point of the night. He entered with 1,286, trailing Victor Colon (1,290) and Twyman (1,294), teammates who graduated in 2000.

Upper Darby battles but falls to Conestoga in double-OT>>Maurice Grier scored 15 points, and Troy Butler added 13 points, but Upper Darby couldn’t withstand 36 points from Conestoga’s Darryl Caldwell in a 68-67 loss in double-overtime.

Anthony McFall added 12 points, and Kahleel Henry added 10 for Upper Darby (4-8, 3-5 Central League).

Charlie Martin’s 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in the second overtime put the Pioneers up for good.

Strath Haven 63, Radnor 51 >> Josh Singleton scored 22 points, and John Harrar added 15 as the low-post prowess kept Haven (11-2, 6-2) rolling.

Vernon Harper scored 13 points, and Vinnie Kelly added 12 for Radnor (8-5, 3-4).
