Academy Park’s swift start leads it to win over Glen Mills

Academy Park used a stifling full-court press in the opening quarter to assume control on the way to a 76-67 victory over Glen Mills in a Del Val League matchup Thursday.

The Knights forced the Battlin’ Bulls into a slew of mistakes in the first eight minutes while outscoring the visitors, 27-13. Glen Mills went on several runs to cut into the Knights’ sizeable deficit.

Juwan Collins recorded 18 points, six assists and four steals for the Knights (9-2, 2-1). Travis Smith led all players with 23 points and also secured five steals. Kaleb Taliaferro notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Dawine Harmon registered 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls.
