HIGHLIGHTS: Trinell Watson’s 20-point, eight-rebound effort propelled the Trojans to their first non-league win in four years. Tamya Jarrett added 10 points, eight boards and three blocks, while Ashley Weller and Mikyla Brandon both hauled in eight boards apiece. Brynn McClune chipped in four huge points and three key rebounds off the bench in the fourth quarter.
Jack Edwards picked a great day to have a career day.
Edwards scored 24 points, including 16 in the first half, as Strath Haven downed Holy Ghost Prep, 50-43, in a game at the Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington.
Edwards hit four 3-pointers. Jaden Jauregui added 13 points, and Chase Nangle added eight points.

MILLBROOK SCHOOL 52, EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 36 » Kevin McCarthy scored 11 points, and TJ Lamb added nine, but the Churchmen (2-8) fell for the third straight game at the Mercer Tournament at the Hill School.
DEVON PREP 72, HAVERFORD SCHOOL 65 » Dave Kearney scored 18 points, and Carson Mastin paired 13 points with 12 rebounds, but the Fords fell in overtime Saturday night. Matt Kearney and Dan Springman added 14 points each for Haverford School.
Lucas Orchard’s 24 points led the way for Devon Prep.

Josh Parks pared 30 points with 17 rebounds, but the rest of the Knights never got going in the Saturday setback.
Caleb Johnson added nine points off the bench for Delco Christian (3-2).
Grace O’Neill went off for 19 points, but Archbishop Carroll fell to Long Island Lutheran, 44-40, at this week’s edition of the She Got Game Tournament in Holmdel, N.J.
Maggie Grant chipped in 10 points for Carroll (33). Taylor Wilson was limited to two 3-pointers for six points.

Sun Valley proved it was a team of morning people, spotting Pottsgrove the first five points of the game, then scoring 34 of the next 45 en route to a 62-31 nonleague win in a game that began before lunchtime.
Aliceia Whitfield made a trio of treys and scored a game-high 20 points. She also had five steals.
Brielle Wright checked in with nine points and Olivia Hoy registered eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Vanguards (2-3). Jaina Preuhs tallied five points, four boards and four assists while Ava Barraclough had six points.

The Irish received scoring contributions from 10 players including Katie Halligan and Annie Greek, each of whom tallied 11 points. Emma O’Hare pitched in with seven points.

Nick Colucci was Mr. Clutch for Haverford High on Saturday. The senior guard’s buzzer-beating lay up in overtime lifted the Fords to a thrilling 63-62 nonleague victory over Great Valley.
Cameroon Wallace hit two free throws with 6.6 seconds left to give the host Patriots a 62-61 advantage. Colucci then dribbled the length of the floor and scored as time expired. He managed a game-high 27 points and Google Seidman dropped in 14 for Haverford. The Fords drilled nine 3-point baskets including three by Brian Wiener, who finished with 11 points.

Western Reserve 67, Episcopal Academy 31 >> Kevin McCarthy netted 10 points, but the Churchmen fell at the Mercer Tournament at The Hill School.

Ryan Nemetz is working on it. The Cardinal O’Hara coach knows he’ll need to exert some patience as his young team develops, and Friday night marked a nice step in that process. The Lions finished 2-1 this week, and are 3-2 overall, thanks to a convincing 76-64 victory over visiting Lincoln.
The 12-point difference doesn’t come close to how O’Hara (3-2) dominated. The Lions saw balanced scoring, led by the team’s only senior, Maasai Harris, who scored a team-high 15, with 12 points each from Izaiah Pasha and Amir Speights. Lincoln’s 6-foot-7 senior Aymere Thomas led all scorers with 26, and was one of a few bright spots on the Lincoln side.
Otherwise, O’Hara led from start to finish, building a 70-36 lead entering the fourth quarter. By then, the Lions benefitted from a running clock, after benefitting by the big leap 6-7 sophomore Pearse McGuinn took.

Jordan Bochanski scored 14 points and Justin DiBona had a geat all-around game, with eight points, four assists and five rebounds, leading Marple Newtown to a 41-30 Central League boys basketball victory over Springfield Friday. Johnny Small chipped in with 10 points and seven boards, while Corrado Fischetti added a pair of threepointers as the Tigers rebounded from the Cougars’ fast first quarter.
For Springfield, Colin Treude and Mike Hoey each scored nine points.
RADNOR 55, HARRITON 44 »
Jackson Hicke and Cooper Mueller each scored 15 points as the Raptors started fast then put the defensive clamps on the Rams in the second quarter. Harriton had just 17 first-half points.
Hicke had seven rebounds, while Charlie Thornton scored 11 points and collected six boards, while Pierce Justice scored 10.
LOWER MERION 58, GARNET VALLEY 45 » Jake Sniras had 11 points, while Logan McKee and Max Koehler scored 10 points each in the loss.
The Garnet couldn’t contain Lower Merion’s Sam Brown, who scored 21 points, including five baskets from beyond the arc. Demetrius Lilley added 18 points.
