Strath Haven’s boys basketball team hadn’t had much reason to celebrate this season before Monday’s nonleague game. In the throes of a rebuilding season, the Panthers had only one victory on their ledger.
At the Concord (Del.) Classic, the Panthers got back in the win column — finally — with a 79-59 shellacking of Brandywine (Del.).
Nick Fender led the way with 22 points and eight rebounds, and Kyree Fuller registered a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards for Strath Haven (2-13), which erupted for 25 points in the first quarter.
Mike Fisher finished with 16 points and six assists, Chris Dienno sunk three 3-point field goals and Josh Singleton hauled in a season-high 10 rebounds.
