Nearly four years removed from handing Chester its last Del-Val League loss, Penn Wood did the deed again Thursday night.
The host Patriots won, 65-56, thanks to Addison Scott’s 10 assists and four steals, and snapped Chester’s 32-game league winning streak.
Naeem East grabbed 10 rebounds and Malik Jackson poured in a game-high 28 points for Penn Wood.
Chester’s last previous league loss was to Penn Wood on Feb. 4, 2010.
Also in the Del-Val, Travis Smith scored 23 points and recorded five steals to send Academy park past visiting Chichester, 69-64. Cyrie Spencer grabbed 11 rebounds and added 10 points.
