Henry Miller eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau as Delco Christian claimed the District One Class AA third-place game with a 50-43 triumph over Jenkintown.
The Knights, who qualified for the state tournament, shot 23-for-29 from the foul line and went on a 6-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good. Miller reached the milestone with a free throw.
“I’m really proud of out guts,” Delco coach Don Davis told the Montgomery News. “After losing to them twice in the regular season, they had the confidence to keep fighting. It’s a credit to their mental toughness and their bong together as a team.”
Danny Browne netted a team-high 16 points and Miller finished with 11.
