Lansdale Catholic holds off Bonner-Prendergast for 1st PCL win

In a game that was tied on multiple occasions and had several lead changes throughout the night, it was a strong fourth quarter that made the difference Saturday evening for the Lansdale Catholic boys basketball team.

“We just brought the energy, played defense, and everyone moved the ball. We started to make shots,’ the Crusaders’ Andrew Riviello said. “It was just a great team effort.’

LC had many heroes in the final eight minutes and pulled together to earn a 51-46 win over Bonner-Prendergast as the Crusaders notched their first Philadelphia Catholic League win of the season.

“We had struggled making shots in the first half,’ said LC coach Ed Enoch, whose team improved to 4-1 overall and evened its PCL record to 1-1. “We got them out of their zone defense in the second half and we made a couple shots and when that happens, you play a little looser.’
