Bonner-Prendergast connects from the line to end its skid

After 12 straight losses, Bonner-Prendergast got to sample the sweet taste of victory Wednesday night.

The Friars connected on 11 of 14 attempts from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to earn their second win of the season and first in more than a month with a 53-47 nonleague decision over Upper Moreland Wednesday night.

All but one of the Friars’ free throw tries came in the fourth quarter.

Joey Quinn led Bonner-Prendergast (2-16) with 14 points. Jack Carden added 11 point and Tyler Higgins 10. The Friars outscored Upper Moreland in the fourth quarter, 15-10.
