Playing for a second time in as many nights, Audenried simply had no answer for Archbishop Carroll’s Derrick Jones.
Jones scored 20 points to go with 13 rebounds and eight blocks in a quick evening as Carroll banished its Public League opposition in a 71-46 win in the District 12 Class AAA third-place game Wednesday.
Ryan Daly added 13 points, and David Beatty paired 12 points with eight rebounds for the Patriots (19-6), who were already guaranteed a place in the PIAA Class AAA Tournament. With the win, Carroll will await the District One champion in the first round of states.
