Christian Irons made darn sure that Interboro walked away with a win against Bonner-Prendergast Tuesday night.
The Bucs’ senior star hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds to tie the game, stole the ensuing inbounds pass and converted a 360 layup for the winning points in a 55-53 nonleague victory over the Friars.
Irons finished the night with a superb effort, flirting with a triple-double as he scored 28 points, snared 15 rebounds and handed out six assists for the Bucs (4-1).
Jack Carden led a valiant effort from Bonner (0-3) with 16 points, while Joey Quinn chipped in 11.
