Smith, Academy Park stay hot to beat Cardinal O’Hara

Academy Park’s Travis Smith was on fire early and often as the Knights defeated Cardinal O’Hara, 70-55, in nonleague boys basketball action Wednesday night.

Smith scored 16 of his game-high 30 points in a first quarter that saw the Knights outscore the Lions, 22-6. On the night, Smith hit five 3-point field goals and was 5-for-6 from the free-throw line.

Terran Hamm wasn’t too shabby, either. Hamm tossed in 16 points to help the Knights, while Kaleb Taliafero chipped in with 10.
