Resilient Springfield outlasts Interboro

Playing for a third straight day, Springfield took care of business in a 67-45 nonleague win over Interboro Saturday.

Nick Fox scored a season-high 15 points, including eight in a second quarter where the Cougars outscored the Bucs, 18-8. Jordan Collins added 15 points, and Kevin McCormick contributed 11 for Springfield (10-9).

Alex Grady scored 17 points, and Donte Pagan buried five 3-pointers to finish with 15 for the Bucs.

In the Tri-State Christian Conference:

Gloucester Christian 75, Christian Academy 50: Ethan Dutton scored 16 points and Jeremiah Williams added 14, but the Crusaders couldn’t overcome a 27-11 deficit after one quarter thanks to Gloucester’s flying start.

RJ Walker chipped in 10 points for the Crusaders (5-11, 4-4).
