Marple Newtown’s Nick Giordano didn’t just nudge his way past 1,000 career points Friday night. He reached the milestone with an authoritative flourish.
Giordano scored a career-high 42 points to break the 1,000 mark and lead Marple Newtown to a 75-66 win over Radnor Friday night. Giordano scored 17 of his points in the second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 17-8 in that frame by himself, and had 27 at the half.
Jake McGee added 11 points, and Marcus Weathers added 10 for the Tigers (9-9, 6-6 Central).
Mason Ressler scored a career-high 19 points, and Alex Hino chipped in 12 points for the Raiders (5-13, 1-11).
