History was waiting for a pair of Del Val players Thursday night.

Both Penn Wood’s Malik Jackson and Academy Park’s Travis Smith scored their 1,000th points, each in wins by their teams.

Jackson’s was the less certain of the two, with the guard needing 15 points; he got 26, leading Penn Wood to a 57-51 win at Glen Mills.

Jackson added eight rebounds. Addison Scott hit four 3-pointers to finish with 20 points and seven rebounds, and Calvin Melton did a little of everything for the Patriots (14-5, 5-2) with seven points, eight rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Anthony Johnson scored 13 points to go with 16 rebounds and six blocks as the Battlin’ Bulls (12-5, 5-2) were dealt their first home loss of the season. Imhotep Davis supplied 14 points as Glen Mills dominated in the post, but they couldn’t turn it into a win. Tyreek Brickus drained three 3s to finish with 11 points.

Smith reached his milestone early in AP’s 71-51 win over Interboro, getting the required three points on an old-fashioned 3-point play in the first quarter. He finished with 18 on the night.

Jawan Collins was the star Thursday, scoring 31 points to go with 11 rebounds and five assists as the Knights (16-4, 5-3) shook off a sluggish start to win going away.

Tyler Moralis scored 18 points, and Alex Grady added 16 for Interboro.
