The most exciting moment of Haylie Adamski’s Wednesday afternoon came when she was sitting on the bench.
That’s not the typical spot the Garnet Valley junior likes to be, especially in the second quarter. But watching her twin younger sisters, Kylie and Addison, connect on a 3-pointer to close out the half of a holiday tournament game against Villa Joseph Marie, Haylie was delighted.
“It’s amazing,” she said, but was quick to add that it’s not some special bond between the two that drew the pass — just good hoops. “People think that’s the twin connection, but they pass to each other because they’re open.”
The oldest Adamski sister, one of the brightest young talents in the Delaware Valley, has been a player to watch in the Central League since leading Garnet Valley to a Central League title as a freshman. Now a junior and team captain for head coach Joe Woods’ Jaguars, she’s balancing being one of the team’s stars and leaders with being a big sister, and she couldn’t be happier.
