Garnet Valley and Springfield (Delco) used late charges on Saturday at Haverford High to secure their places in the Central League girls’ basketball championship game.
Springfield edged Conestoga, 38-35. Garnet Valley topped Harriton, 48-40.
Jordan D’Ambrosio shot 5 for 6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as Springfield’s Cougars did enough to stop Conestoga’s late rally. D’Ambrosio finished with a game-high 17 points.
Emily McAteer led Garnet Valley with 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Jaguars outscored Harriton by 11 points in the fourth quarter. Sam Tomasetti chipped in with six rebounds.
Garnet Valley and Springfield will meet on Monday at Marple Newtown.
