Boys & Girls: Rayne Edwards, Zanai Coleman help Chi girls put end to long skid

Rayne Edwards and Zanai Coleman led the charge as the Chichester girls basketball team snapped a 22-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 40-14 victory over Octorara.

Edwards scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Eagles, who jumped out to a 19-1 lead after one quarter. Coleman (10 points, 10 rebounds) also had a double-double.

In other nonleague action:

Cardinal O’Hara 50, Caravel Academy (Del.) 48 >> A 20-12 run in the fourth quarter was the difference for the Lions.

All-Delcos Joanie Quinn and Molly Rullo led the scoring with 18 and 13 points, respectively. Carly Coleman chipped in with 10 points.

Cardinal O’Hara 60, Baldwin (N.Y.) 36 >>  Rullo’s 24-point effort propelled the Lions to their third win over the weekend at the She Got Game Classic in Washington, D.C. Sunday.
