Boys & Girls: Radnor ends regular season with a flourish

Radnor’s boys basketball team ended the regular season in its usual manner.

Jackson Hicke supplied 19 points, six assists and five rebounds to lead the Raptors to a 70-50 drubbing of Ridley.

Wednesday’s victory was the 19th of the season for the Raptors, who are the No. 2 seed in the Central League playoffs. Radnor and No. 1 Lower Merion received a first-round bye in the tournament, which gets under way Thursday.

Cooper Mueller added nine points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Charlie Thornton and Will Remphrey each supplied eight points.

In nonleague games:

INTERBORO 57, OXFORD 34 » Zakee Brooks poured in 20 points as the Bucs (5– 14) squashed the host Hornets. Brooks canned a trio of 3-pointers.

Abu Kamara managed 10 points and Gavin Walls posted six points, eight rebounds and five assists.

BARRACK HEBREW ACADEMY 70, PHELPS SCHOOL 46 » Danny Cohen provided 20 points and Max Hirsch tossed in 16 for the Cougars. Yonatan Hassidim chipped in with 12 points.

Girls Basketball

Brielle Wright scored 13 points and Melana Timmes was a rebound shy of a double- double, but Sun Valley lost to Rustin, 63-38.

Timmes finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and two assists for the Vanguards (9-11). Jaina Preuch added six points, three assists and three steals.
