Boys: Jauregui’s buzzer-beater leads Strath Haven

Jaden Jauregui delivered in crunch time for Strath Haven boys basketball team Saturday.

The 6-2 senior guard hit the winning shot as time expired in regulation, propelling the Panthers to a 59-58 decision over Upper Merion.

Jauregui tallied a game-high 24 points. Jack Edwards drilled four 3-point field goals and finished with 14 points. Matt Jones netted seven points.

Delco Christian 62, Christian Academy 61 >> The host Knights nipped the Crusaders in the consolation game of their tip-off tournament. Caleb Jameson led the winners with 16 points and Luke Bushra dropped in 13. DC’s thrilling win Saturday came on the heels of Friday night’s close defeat to Atlantic Christian, 49-47. Jameson paced the Knights with 12 points.
