Nikki Mostardi was on fire from 3-point land, and Brooke Impriano delivered at the free-throw line as Marple Newtown earned a 49-46 victory over Conestoga in a Central League girls basketball game Thursday.
Mostardi sank five treys and finished with a game-high 19 points. Impriano, who had 10 points, hit two foul shots to put her team up by four points with 13 seconds to play.
It was a big win for the Tigers (5-2, 4-1), who handed the Pioneers (6-2, 4-1) their first league loss of the season.
Haley Levy produced 16 points and nine rebounds in the winning cause.

Haverford 43, Strath Haven 28 >> Caroline Dotsey scored 11 points and went 5-for-5 from the foul line as the Fords downed the Panthers.
Haverford jumped out to a 15-3 lead after eight minutes and never let up. Aniya Eberhart and Mollie Carpenter each had six points.
