Joshuasville’s treys lead Upper Darby past Radnor

Iyan Joshuasville hit a pair of clutch fourth-quarter 3-pointers as Upper Darby surged in the final stanza to top Radnor, 56-51, in the Central League Tuesday night.

Shareef Jones hit three 3-pointers for 17 points for Upper Darby in a game that was tied after one quarter and at the half. AJ Tucker added 11 points, and Joshuasville had 10 for the Royals (9-5, 5-4).

Lew Robinson led Radnor with 20 points. Jack D’Entremont added 18 for the Raiders (9-5, 5-4).

HARRITON 54,HAVERFORD 51>> Marcus Bradley- Lowry hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Harriton the win.

John Seidman led all scorers with 21 points. Hunter Krazia added 15 points for the Fords (6-8, 2-7), who’ve lost six straight (none by more than four points).

STRATH HAVEN 55, RIDLEY 50>>Luke Edwards scored the go-ahead basket with a minute left, two of his 13 fourth-quarter points and part of a game-high tally of 23 points. Will George hit four 3-pointers for a career- high 14 points for Haven (9-4, 5-4).

Josh Howard led Ridley (7-7, 4-5) with 13 points, and Josh Hagan added 10.

GARNET VALLEY 68, MARPLE NEWTOWN 49 >>Carl Schaller scored 10 of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter as the Jags’ jumped out to a 20-6 lead and hardly missed the two starters missing out due to injury.

Gannon McKee filled in beautifully with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Valantis Apostolopoulos (12 points) and Max Jackowsky (nine) hit two 3-pointers each for the streaking Jags (12-1, 8-1).

Mike Tansey and Joey Paoletti ledMarple Newtown (7-7, 4-5) with eight points each in the Tigers’ third straight setback.

LOWER MERION 64, PENNCREST 40>>The battle of the top teams in the District 1 6A and 5A rankings was dominated by the Aces, courtesy of 18 Demetrius Lilley points.

Marquis Tomlin scored 11 points, and Denzel Quinn and Denzel Atkinson Boyer added 10 apiece for the Lions (12-3, 6-3), who trailed by 24 at halftime.

CONESTOGA 59, SPRINGFIELD 36 >>Cole Rhodes scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, but he didn’t get much help as a slow start consigned the Cougars to a 21-2 deficit after one quarter.

In the Del Val League:

CHESTER 74, CHICHESTER 60 >>Zahmir Carroll went off for 23 points, and Akeem Taylor added 15 as the Clippers (10-2, 3-0) owned a 21-9 edge after one quarter on the way to its sixth straight victory. Rahmee Gilbert added 11 points.

Andrew Monroe posted a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Josh Hankins added 11 points for the Eagles (58, 0-2).

ACADEMY PARK 62, INTERBORO 29 >>Jalen Cassidy’s 13 points and the Knights’ dogged defense effort that held the Bucs to just eight first-half points won the day. Tahriq Marrero added 11 points, and Jamase Turner stepped off the bench to provide 11 for the Knights (9-4, 2-1).Deshawn DiEmidio led Interboro with eight points.

In the Bicentennial League:

DELCO CHRISTIAN 53,LOWER MORELAND 46>>Joshua Parks exploded for a career-high 18 points as the Knights answered a 14-point first-quarter deficit with a 23-5 edge in the second quarter. Obinna Nwobodo added 15 points, and Jackson Piotrowski supplied 12 for DC (9-4, 6-1).

CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 74, PLUMSTEAD CHRISTIAN 30>>Grant Sareyka led a trip of doublefigure scorers with 15 points as the Crusaders held Plumstead to just 15 points in the first half.

Sam Geathers tallied 12 points, Isaiah Mitchell added 10 and Parris Jones provided nine for TCA (11-3, 8-0).

In the Ches-Mont League:

UNIONVILLE 40, SUN VALLEY 22>> Billy Fisher scored eight points, but the Vanguards (58, 1-4) were blanked in the fourth quarter in their lowest offensive output of the season.
