Amber Bullard dominated the paint and scored a game-high 26 points to carry The Christian Academy over Sun Valley, 43-38, in a nonleague girls basketball contest Tuesday. Trailing by 12 points at the end of three quarters, the Vanguards made several shots from 3- point distance to make things interesting, but the Crusaders held on. Ava Barraclough (12 points) and Jaina Preuhs (11) each hit three 3s for Sun Valley.

Chester 48, Renaissance Academy 39 » The Clippers held a 12-4 lead after eight minutes and never looked back. Imani Dorsey (four steals, three assists, three blocks) and Shyne Hall (seven rebounds, three steals, two blocks) both scored a game-high 15 points. Taliyah Smith had eight points and three assists while Ja’Mya Muhammad added six points, 17 rebounds, four steals and three blocks for Chester.
Strath Haven 29, Kennett 24 >> Freshman Chloe Hunold scored nine of her 14 points during a fourth quarter in which the Panthers outscored the Blue Demons, 13-8. Laura Shea added nine points and five rebounds. Olivia Voshell paired five points with five rebounds for Haven.
Penncrest 39, Academy Park 9 » Defense was the name of the game in the Lions’ season opener. Bailey Garrison netted 11 of her game-high 12 points in the first half. Kat Harding contributed six points and Emily Huggins had five. Alaysia Kinlaw scored four points for the Knights.
Radnor 52, West Chester East 31 » Mary Sareen’s 14-point effort helped the Raptors blow past the Vikings. Paige Yurchak, Caroline Monahan and Sadie Schultz each had seven points.
Delco Christian 38, Interboro 19 » Ashanthis Harris scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Knights. Sarah Stohl chipped in with seven points. Madilyn Mae had four points, five rebounds and five steals for the host Bucs.
Hill School 47, Agnes Irwin 42 » Simone Havery was 6 of 7 from the free-throw stripe and tallied 15 points for the Owls, who held a two-point edge at halftime. Janna Parker and Mariyn Dwyer added eight points apiece in the loss.
Faith Christian, 41, Sacred Heart 40>> Mikayka Hinsner hit the game winning shot with 12 seconds to play, stunning the Lions. Maya Walker, who had eight points and 12 rebounds, had given Sacred a one-point lead with 36 seconds left. Keara McCaffrey paced the Lions with 18 points and 12 boards.
