Sun Valley’s boys basketball crew cruised to a 25-5 fourth-quarter run Friday night in running away from Academy Park, 69-48, in what once was a close nonleague game. Chris Kwadiah had seven 3-pointers along the way to 29 points and Noah Griffin went 8-for-12 from the line while scoring 18 points to lead the Vanguards. Justin Hickman scored nine points and Kaiden Robinson eight for Sun Valley. For Academy Park, Kyle Jones led the way with 16 points.
Marple Newtown 72, Collegium Charter 50 » Matt Gardler hit six times from beyond the arc en route to a 31-point performance, adding four rebounds and four assists as the Tigers improved to 7-6 overall Saturday.
Ryan Keating had 15 points and five rebounds for the Tigers, and Steve Tansey had six points and seven steals.
Delco Christian 72, Valley Forge Military 45 » The Knights were led by Caleb Jameson, who scored 19 points and pulled down five boards. Khamai Orange and Beau Lyren had 18 points apiece. Steve Hill had 38 of VFMA’s 45 points.
Boyertown 35, Penncrest 29 » Michael Mita scored eight points and registered 10 rebounds but the Lions fell to B-Town. Brendan Hemphill added nine points for Penncrest.
Chichester 80, Brandywine (Del.) 62 » Akhir Keys had a game-high 22 points and Zaiyin Keys added seven points and six rebounds and six assists to lead the Eagles to victory. Vince Wildrick scored 13 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five assists. For Brandywine, junior Crisdon Wright scored 19 points and freshman Dadrien Howell had 21.

Penn Charter 42, Arch. Carroll 35 » An early Carroll lead disappeared in the face of a second-half, full-on press by Penn Charter at Father Judge High. PC outscored the Patriots 25-10 in the second half.Taylor Wilson scored 16 points for Carroll while Aleah Snead scored 20 for Penn Charter.
Strath Haven 44, Pope John Paul II 27 » Sophomore Maryella Gill scored a game-high 13 points and had five steals to lead the Panthers in this nonleague game. Olivia Voshell added 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Sierra Felder pulled down five rebounds and pulled off four steals.
Sun Valley 61, Renaissance Academy 31 » The Vanguards jumped out to a 19-5 lead off the opening tap and never looked back. Senior Jaina Preuhs scored nine points in the first quarter alone, on the way to 14 points, four assists and four rebounds. Sophomore Brielle Wright scored 13 points and added four assists and four steals, while frosh Luci D’Amico and Anaka Boyd-Volz had eight points each.
Oxford 53, Upper Darby 46 » The Hornets girls had a 16-point lead in the third quarter, but the Royals fought back, cutting the deficit in half at one point. Freshman Mia Wilson scored 16 of her 19 points in the second half and added four steals. Fellow frosh Cameron Ross scored 12 points and soph Sage Walters had eight.
Academy Park 67, Girard College 25 » Semaji Young led the way for the Knights with 19 points, while Kyla Love scored 12 and Samiiya Andrews added 11.
