Berger’s 14 help Ridley to victory over Upper Darby

Peyton Berger s 14-point effort led a balanced offensive attack for Ridley in Thursday’s 53-41 Central League victory over Upper Darby. Kyla Carney added 10 points and Macie Clarke and Abbi Hinchey each tossed in nine for the Green Raiders, who led 41-14 at halftime. Berger had eight points in the opening quarter. Sage Walters scored 12 points while Mia Wilson and Cameron Ross each tallied eight for the Royals.

Penncrest 44, Marple Newtown 18 » Bailey Garrison scored 14 points — seven in each half — to pace the Lions, who outscored the Tigers, 34-8, after the first quarter. Kat Harding and Alex Bruce added seven points apiece. Brooke Impriano had eight points for Marple.

Haverford 60, Lower Merion 24 » The Fords put the game out of reach with a 27-7 run in the second quarter. Caroline Dotsey (11 rebounds) scored eight of her game-high 18 points in the stanza. Moiiie Carpenter totaled 13 points and Rian Dotsey finished with nine for Haverford. Sky Newman, Aniya Eberhart and Natalie Wright all contributed with six points.

Springfield 47, Radnor 32 » Kaitlyn Kearney poured in 12 points to help the Cougars (1-1) get their first win. Lexi Aaron tossed in nine points and Mia Valerio had eight. Taylor Hunyet scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter. Mary Sareen scored 22 points to lead the Raptors.

Harriton 54, Strath Haven 40 » Chloe Hunold continued her impressive start as the freshman scored 24 points for the Panthers. Olivia Voshell chipped in with 10 points.

Conestoga 53, Garnet Valley 41 » Haylie Adamski tallied 16 points and Kylie Muholland scored eight, but the Jaguars couldn’t stop ‘Stoga’s Ryann Jennings, who poured in 24 points.

In nonleague action:

Sacred Heart 40, Morrisville 13 » Freshman Megan Donohue scored the first seven points of the game and ended with nine for the Lions. Keara McCaffery had a game-high 10 points.

Downingtown East 52, Academy Park 35 » The Knights trailed 22-5 after eight minutes, but were competitive the rest of the way. Alaysia Kinlaw led AP with 10 points and Emani Banks chipped in with nine.

Phoenixville 54, Chester 38 » Shyne Hall scored 13 points and Ja’Mya Muhammad posted a double-double with 10 points and 18 rebounds for the Clippers (1-1). Imani Dorsey accumulated 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

West Chester Henderson 65, Penn Wood 13 » Ani Rascoe led the Patriots with eight points.
