Eric Baiocco came through in the clutch for Chichester Monday night.

Baiocco drilled a 3-pointer in overtime to put the Eagles in front to stay on the way to a 48-47 triumph over Marple Newtown in a nonleague game.

Derek Wells was responsible for the extra session, hitting a 3-pointer for Chichester with 2.6 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. Moments earlier, he missed from beyond the arc, but grabbed the rebound and dribbled to the left side of the floor. When presented with a second opportunity to knot things up, Wells didn’t miss.

Wells finished with a game-high 18 points and Jamai Womack scored 10 points for the Eagles (2-7), who came away with a much-needed win.

Jake McGee paced the Tigers with 17 points.
